ART IS ART

because everyone who saw 's stamp a few days ago NEEDS TO GET OVER IT. that includes me.

i have to say i was pretty pissed off at that stamp, and the comments i saw, so you get to hear me rant.

ART IS ART. dA is for ART.
FANART IS STILL CREATIVE. its not COMPLETELY FLIPPING OMG-I-MADE-THIS-ALL-BY-MY-SELF-YAY-ME creative, but it still takes creativity and talent.
IF FANART MAKES THE FRONT PAGE, SO BE IT. IT. IS. ART.

people on this site are completely hypocritical when they say "don't say anything if its mean" to the flammers of JFAK's stamp, because JFAK was being just as mean by saying those who make fan art are uncreative, and that things like naruto and KH suck.

when this stamp DOESN'T make the front page, i swear to siddhartha and mahatma ghandi that i will not be "OMG I'M NOT ON THE FRONT PAGE. THERE IS TOO MUCH OTHER ART! BOO FANART!"

ya'll should be able to appreciate any art on dA. fanart or not it's art and someone worked hard on it, and obviously if it made the front page A LOT of people liked it. just because YOU don't doesn't mean it shouldn't be there.

...and about awful fanart. ok its there, but it doesn't make the manga/book/movie/anime/etc horrible. people need to not be affect so much by bad things. i still love naruto and KH no matter how much crazy fanart and fans are out there. those of you who say that their embarrassed to have admitted to liking naruto, thats just really immature of you. i am confident enough of my self to know that i am not a stupid fan, and that naruto is not indeed as stupid as some fanart portrays it to be.

there is a difference from seeing and believing. seeing isn't believing, but believing is seeing.
seriously guys stop being so influenced. get your own minds.

i am sorry to say i have lost a majority of my respect that i had for
it hurts me to hear him say that fanart is uncreative, and doesn't deserve to make the front page.
(and i am taken aback by how hypocritical he is...as his favorites are fanarts of his work...so he fav's unoriginal art? with that, he ALWAYS makes the front page, so i really don't want to be hearing anything from him.)

...soooooo. just like art the way it is. appreciate how dA is filled with so many types or wonderful art, and be able to decide things for yourself.

ok so i fixed it...so its not smudged or whatever the hell was wrong with it.

after reading 's most recent post...i guess i felt a little better about the subject, but still alot of the people who i saw commenting were really stupid, so all i said still applies.

there has been ALOT of drama going on about this...its actually really amusing xD

i myself have been part of it, so i'm not much better (but hey, i said earlier that i need to get over the stamp too)
